About Jamie Mortensen Psychotherapy, LLC
My goal is to facilitate lasting change by providing the kind of therapeutic space and skill where healing, growth, and self-discovery can naturally unfold.
My approach is anchored in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and centered in attachment theory, I believe that unexplained symptoms and behaviors can also serve as meaningful expressions of underlying experiences, needs, and strategies, or adaptations.
Together, we can learn to deepen self-understanding, strengthen your core sense of self and stability, and access the inner resources necessary for healing.
I have over 15 years of experience working in child adversity, developmental and relational trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life transitions, identity confusion, emotional disturbances, parent/child relationships, and behavior difficulties. Whether through conversation, play, creative self-expression, or experiential interventions, therapy is tailored to the developmental needs and unique strengths of each client.
My office is intentionally designed to offer a comfortable, private, and welcoming environment where people can show up as they are and be heard.
